Sunflower Oil, Flax Oil & Ground Whole Flaxseed

  • Sunflower oil supplies Omega 6 fatty acids, which promote shiny coats
  • Flaxseed Oil contains 56% Omega 3 Fatty Acids, which help reduce inflammation in many conditions including allergies, arthritis and kidney disease. Omega 3 fatty acids are also needed to produce flexible cell membranes. The body uses these fatty acids to form substances that offer protection against heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
  • Flaxseeds are not only abundant in Omega 3 Fatty Acids, but also a very good source of fiber that lowers cholesterol levels, reduces the exposure of colon cells to cancer-causing chemicals, relieves constipation or diarrhea, and helps stabilize blood sugar levels in dogs.

Lechithin

  • Lechithin provides functional and nutritional benefits to semi-moist pet food. It functions as an emulsifier and a binder and acts as an anti-oxidant to improve the stability of the pet food.
  • It also enhances the absorption of other nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and dietary fats. Reported benefits to dogs included; healthy looking skin and coats, and reduced stiffness and painful movement of senior dogs.

Yucca Schidigera Extract

  • Yucca Schidigera extract reduces offensive urine and stool odors. The extract also provides other health benefits such as improved digestion and preventing arthritis.

Inulin

  • Inulin (fructooligosaccharides) acts like a fiber and it passes through the upper digestive system undigested. However, it is fermented in the large intestine and exerts beneficial effects on gut health.
  • Besides improving overall gut health, Inulin has been reported to reduce amino acid catabolites which are associated with fecal odor and carcinogenesis in the colon.

Glycerol, Glucose Syrup, Potassium Sorbate, Phosphoric Acid & Citric Acid

  • These are humectants and mold and bacteria growth inhibitors, which are essential for semi-moist products.

Mixed Tocopherols & Rosemary Extract

  • They are natural antioxidants used to preserve oils from getting rancid and maintain the freshness and flavor of the product.
